Well, this is my first experience of 'blogging'. I actually started a diary/notes/blog on Facebook in hospital days after Charlotte was diagnosed. I was already on Facebook, so it was the quickest & easiest thing to use for me & was also my link to the outside world for the 3 weeks we we're in hospital following Charlotte's diagnosis. I am planning to copy & paste these diary entries over, I didn't do it daily & after the first 3 weeks I maybe only wrote weekly, then monthly & then just at key times in our journey... so there won't be 9 months of daily 'blogs'! lol
Charlotte, Mummy & Leukaemia; On 19/5/11 just before her 4th Birthday my beautiful daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. This is the story of her illness, our journey & my faith. We want to raise awareness & funds for Leukaemia, Childhood Cancer, the amazing Organisations & Charities out there making real differences to peoples lives...we know, as they have made a massive difference to ours!
Welcome to our blog
I have been be overwhelmed by the prayer, love, kindness, support & generousity of everybody since Charlotte's diagnosis. Thank you so much!
Charlotte is under a shared care scheme with her minor chemo & general health looked after Poole General Hospital and the stronger chemo, procedures & overall treatment plan managed by the Piam Brown Ward at Southampton General Hospital. The ward is 1 of 22 specialist wards in the UK treating cancer in children.
If there is anything else you would like to know please don't hesitate ask or click on of the links below to find out more.
Charlotte's treatment is continual over 2 years & 2 months so its a long tough road ahead but through my faith I gather strength and remain positive (most of the time!)
