Welcome to our blog

I have been be overwhelmed by the prayer, love, kindness, support & generousity of everybody since Charlotte's diagnosis. Thank you so much!
Charlotte is under a shared care scheme with her minor chemo & general health looked after Poole General Hospital and the stronger chemo, procedures & overall treatment plan managed by the Piam Brown Ward at Southampton General Hospital. The ward is 1 of 22 specialist wards in the UK treating cancer in children.
If there is anything else you would like to know please don't hesitate ask or click on of the links below to find out more.
Charlotte's treatment is continual over 2 years & 2 months so its a long tough road ahead but through my faith I gather strength and remain positive (most of the time!)

Quiet Day Thursday, 26 May 2011 at 21:54

Taken from my original diary on Facebook
After a couple of stressful & exhausting days we had a pretty relaxing day on the whole. Bit of a blip this evening with Charlotte's now redundant canular taken out, which after the plaster went on proceeded to pump out blood all over her pyjamas and bed, much to her distress...but we made light of it..said your blood is poorly but now its been naughty as well & running away, then she goes through this ritual of tears, coughing and protesting before her oral meds...then just takes them, very funny although its wearing off now! lol
Elizabeth, our lovely neighbour, friend and prayer parent to Charlotte visited before lunch and it was lovely to catch up. My Aunty & Uncle then came with my Mum for lunch. A short time later Clive from Church came and we had a catch up & said a prayer for Charlotte. It was really great to hear the news of Tony's scan, amazing and thinking of our Church family who we miss greatly and who were meeting for prayers tonight, whilst Heather came to visit this evening.
Had a chat with the Consultant. Charlotte is having another bone marrow biopsy tomorrow and is due to have one next Friday. Tomorrow she also has another lumbar puncture & chemo put into her spine. However, the Consultant has said that if tomorrows biopsy shows that most of the Leukaemia cells have been killed off they won't do one next week and we'll just wait for the one at the end of this 1st 5 week course of chemo. So that would be great if she doesn't have to go through it again next week. Decided we're probably going to wait until after the bank holiday weekend before moving back to Poole as Charlotte will have a morning of nil by mouth tomorrow and needs more time to settle and accept her central line.
Just watched the first couple of the Potter presentations that Sue Lloyd sent me and looking forward to watching some more. My Muslim friend noticed and asked what I was watching, interesting that he should ask. Time for hot chocolate & biscuits now, then off to bed :-)
